Shane grew up in the Church, but like many, always felt that there must be something more. Somewhat disenchanted with Church, Shane fully committed to the path he set out on from an early age: a life devoted to business. In 2006, he graduated from Saint Mary’s University, a highly respected business school in his hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Small Business Management. From there he achieved great success at a young age, but it didn’t bring him the happiness he expected or desired. During this time, the death of a close family member forced him to begin re-evaluating his life. He questioned whether there really was a God, but recognized if he truly believed, he would be forced to live his life differently. Shane understood now that life was short, and he wanted this life to have eternal value. So he set out on a journey of discovery, and along the way he not only affirmed his belief in the Jesus of the Bible, but also began to feel called by God into full-time ministry. Today, he serves as a Worship Pastor in Halifax, is the founder of the 423 Movement, and is a committed member of the PurposeCity leadership team.
